There's a rather different reason for that: -ati driver developers are 
not doing a proper days work, as i see no mention of RS600 in their 
driver.

This was removed as RS600 is R4xx hw.

Maybe you should ask some serious questions on the ati mailinglist, and 
then also mention the fact that there are tons upon tons of open bugs on 
that driver atm. :)
