since I have the same machine:
yes, this actually makes the Xserver come up on a freshly booted
machine. Haven't found a chance for a successful suspend yet
(locks up before turning off the machine), will have to try more
tweaks there.
And as far as I understand there is still some hope to get the
DDC data out of that chipset, just not with the current code yet.
