I logged in blindly and ran xdpyinfo from the console and verified that X is running at 1400x1050.

If you like, I can also send the Xorg log file from when I run it with the vesa driver, where I do get working video. Maybe this can help you figure out which modes are actually supported. I don't think simply telling my panel to stop lying will be very effective :) _____ Dofri
