Attempt #4... will this one get through to the list???? On September 26, 2007, Luc Verhaegen wrote:

Fantastic! Now I get errors in rhdAtomExec(): my framebuffer has not been "mapped" into rhdPtr->FbBase by xf86MapPciMem(), though rhdAtomBIOSAllocateFbScratch(), which uses RHDAtomBIOSFunc instead of an X function, succeeds! I also get a message that says "Failed to detect a connected monitor", unless the external VGA is connected... is this because I'm using a laptop panel? Speaking of which, here's the conntest output for a Dell Inspiron 6400 with Mobility Radeon X1400 and an external monitor connected: Checking connectors on 0x7145, 0x1028, 0x2003 (@01:00:00): Load Detection: RHD_OUTPUT_DACA HotPlug: RHD_HPD_NONE DDC: RHD_DDC_NONE LVDS Info: 18bits, dual link, LDI Panel found. Power Timing: 0xF9F, 0x000, 0x03, 0x19, 0x1F4 Macro: 0x0C720407, Clock Pattern: 0x0063 I've also attached a (low-quality) picture of what the output looks like... I get two images (both badly distorted) on my CRT, and each one has a tiny resolution (I think it's 1024x768) no matter what I put in my xorg.conf. I hope this helps (and I hope it actually hits the list this time)! #!/jon -- Jonathan Anderson jonathan.anderson@ieee.org
