[radeonhd] Same Card with Different LVDS info(?)

After reporting my Xorg.0.log and conntest log, I can't help notice that
Stefan Becker has a report
(http://lists.opensuse.org/radeonhd/2007-09/msg00148.html) on T60
2008-CTO, which has exactly the same device #, card_vendor # and
card_device #. According to the current driver implementation
(RHDCardIdentify), the driver would identify them as the same card.
However, their LVDS infos are completely different ( I guess because
Stefan's laptop has 1400x1050 SXGA, and mine has 1024x768 ). I don't
know how much it'll affect the driver's behavior, but I would assume
that different LVDS parameters would cause strange behavior or maybe
even hardware damage (really dare not to try that...). Since it looks to
me that conntest can automatically pull out the LVDS info, why it cannot
be implemented into RHDCardIdentify or some function initialize the
driver so that the LVDS info can be safely retrieved during runtime
instead of being put statically inside driver?
Regards,
Chao Cao
