Second question, in my X logs I see:
(WW) RADEONHD(0): ************************************************** (WW) RADEONHD(0): ** Code has been built without AtomBIOS support ** (WW) RADEONHD(0): ** this may seriously affect the functionality *** (WW) RADEONHD(0): ** of this driver *** (WW) RADEONHD(0): **************************************************
Do you use a driver package from the buildservice? Maybe I built something stupid.
Indeed. Could you try again in an hour.
I just tried xorg-x11-driver-video-radeonhd-0.0.1-11.1, the warning is gone, however this new version of the driver no longer works for me. Xorg.0.log is attached.
Which brings a question: shouldn't the driver have an option to disable AtomBIOS support at runtime, at least for debugging purposes?
Your problem has nothing to do with AtomBIOS.
But the driver works for him, when the driver is built without "-DATOM_BIOS".
The driver simply has not found any modes. Libv is going to look into this.
There are two levels of atombios support: 1. using the tables. 2. using function calls.
presently we only support 1. as the code for two isn't in, yet.
Is this related to ATOM_BIOS_PARSER? Thanks for clarification. Best regards, Stefan Public Key available ------------------------------------------------------ Stefan Dirsch (Res. & Dev.)
