DVD-RW Packet Writing on the Sony DRU-500A

      I'm currently using the Sony DRU-500A and USB Iomega Predator CD-RW to
packet write UDF on Mandrake 9.0. Both are working great.

Can I just use cdrwtool to format a DVD-RW on the Sony drive and then packet
write to the DVD-RW?

I wanted to ask before spending hours trying to format it. I saw on the
archives that someone else had done this with a different DVD-RW drive.

And as far as I can tell, this is the only way to incrementally write to
DVD-RW in Linux, since cdrecord-ProDVD doesn't allow multisession (yet) on
DVD-R/RW.
