I have my cdrecorder and others like this: scsibus0: 0,0,0 0) * 0,1,0 1) * 0,2,0 2) * 0,3,0 3) * 0,4,0 4) * 0,5,0 5) * 0,6,0 6) 'QUANTUM ' 'FIREBALL SE2.1S ' 'PJ09' Disk 0,7,0 7) * scsibus1: 1,0,0 100) 'SAMSUNG ' 'CD-ROM SC-152L ' 'C100' Removable CD-ROM 1,1,0 101) ' ' '24X10X40 CD-RW ' '2.02' Removable CD-ROM 1,2,0 102) * 1,3,0 103) * 1,4,0 104) * 1,5,0 105) * 1,6,0 106) * 1,7,0 107) * Trying what i said here, i got this: cdrwtool -d /dev/cdrecorder -q using device /dev/cdrecorder 1525KB internal buffer setting write speed to 12x wait_cmd: Invalid argument Command failed: 55 10 00 00 00 00 00 00 3c 00 00 00 - sense 05.26.00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 05 32 00 23 0a 00 00 00 20 00 00 00 00 20 00 96 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 08 00 mode_select: Illegal seek set_write can't unlock door As i remember is identical to the error you have, then i tryied this: cdrwtool -d /dev/sr/c1b0t1u0 -b fast As you can see, i use /dev/sr/somedevice... this is because in mandrake the devfs filesystem is used. After that ends, i used cdrwtool -d /dev/sr/c1b0t1u0 -m 8000 (the 8000 is the size of the track, i test with an small one to end quickly)
