Hello, I have been having some problems with writing to cd-rw. I fear that it may be a hardware problem, so I would like to force writing on slower speeds (like 1x or 2x, my drive only does 4x). How can I accomplish it? Moreover, I read something about creating a ext2 filesystem in a cd-rw. Is there any reason for this being better than udf? What is the right way to format a cd as ext2? Finally, I am facing the file corruption problems that some people have already complained: cp -r /usr/src/linux /mnt/cdrw ends with a bounch of corrupted files. Is there any solution for this problem in progress? I am not a kernel developper, but if there is some way I can help (like testing), just let me know.
