Hallo Rene Bartsch , [corrupted files]
Is that depending on the packet-writing module or on the file-system? i don't know. I assume, Peter thinks there is something in the packet- modul. On my first trys i get corrupted files on cdrw on both filesystems, ext2 and udf.
But on my last 2 trys (now with kernel 2.4.19-pre10), with ext2 i get no diffs compared cdrw to original, but using udf there were diffs. I used the same cdrw for all tests, reformatting between each test with mkudffs and mke2fs.
safety system. Would it help to use ext2/3 instead of UDF?
don't ask me:-). I'm trying as you are. But my backups in the moment i make using the iso-filesystem on cdrw with xcdroast or k3b. Greetings-- Email:KOALASOFT@GMX.DE
