First: the packet-cd patch work very well, thanks. Second:when i write a large amount of file i have noted that this is first a fast read of the data (read light of cd-burner on) and after about 15 seconds it start a session of write (all ok). The problem is when data is huge or i start a new copy command between the two session the speed decrease, due the swap between read and write like first versions of the patch. My question is: is not possible avoid to mix the two session , blocking the requests of read during the session of write and delay them until the end of write? The speed up of the process, i think would be greater and maybe the cd-burner would be less stressed. Carlo P.s.:this behavior appear also when unmounting the drive with writes pending. P.s2.:i don't know if it is off-topic, i use packet-cd like root, it is possible to use it like user?
