Hello and thanks for your replies. Right now I'm at my work computer (which is windows-only) so I'll test your new port in the evening. As for the porting of udf module to ac-kernels, I had submitted a patch to the sourceforge linux-udf page, you can also have a look at that. Thanks again, Ozkan Sezer

the only feature which I'm sure right now is that it applies cleanly and that it SHOULD compile when doing "make && make modules".
well, I felt even more adventurous and did the ufd part as well, it is at
http://www.eax.com/patches/packet/udf-0.9.3-2.4.5-ac9
it applies cleanly, and it SHOULD compile as well.
potential issues are that in ac9 the DQUOT_{ALLOC,FREE}_BLOCK had been replaced by DQUOT_{ALLOC,FREE}_SPACE, and wrappers for the old functions. This is quota stuff. It generates warning like below. I hadn't looked at how/if to fix them.
warning: passing arg 1 of `DQUOT_FREE_SPACE' discards qualifiers from pointer target type http://www.eax.com/patches/packet/udf-0.9.3-2.4.5-ac9
so if someone wants (dare to :-) test out those patches and can report that miraclously they actualy work, then I can put a tarball including those and old patches together.
