The whole error doesn't make much sense and the slider looks unrelated to the libcurl message. The gtk-primary-button-warps-slider is just a scrollbar property that determines whether clicking on the scrollbar causes the window to scroll to the click position or scroll by a single page in the respective direction. (according to the manual)
That has nothing to do with the curl/libcurl failure. The following (3 days ago) seems to suggest a permission problem? Apparently running as root will work (see comment):
