I can get a MAC based IPv6 address, using Network Manager, but not the random number based privacy address. The connection is configured with privacy "Enabled (prefer temporary address)" and have tried both Automatic and Automatic (only addresses) in the configuration.
In Leap422, we have reverted to the earlier policy of no ipv6 privacy. What does this say:
cat /proc/sys/net/ipv6/conf/*/use_tempaddr
It's 2 for the Ethernet port and 1 for WiFi.
So both ought to be getting the a random address, but only the ethernet port will use it. But you're not getting any random address? Looking at my leap422 test server, I have the random addresses. -- Per Jessen, Zürich (-1.6°C) http://www.hostsuisse.com/ - dedicated server rental in Switzerland. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
