How to switch desktop type in lightdm? Say, from xfce to lxdm? in 42.2. I don't see how.
There are some small icons at the top right of the screen. It is one of those. It possibly is the icon of a tool, or maybe of "xf" if you are using XFCE. Click for a menu of desktops.
No, there is nothing (in 42.2). From memory, I could choose keyboard, and halt/reboot. I had to switch to "lxdm" to be able to choose desktop. -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R. (from 13.1 x86_64 "Bottle" at Telcontar)
