There used to be a mechanism in Firefox, I forget what it was called, whereby tabs could be pushed into groups 'behind the scene".
The it went away.
I seem to recall being told that when it went away those groups would automatically become bookmarks.
I look at my bookmarks and it doesn’t seem so.
Does anyone know what happened here? Where are those tabs now?
The add-on Tab Groups replaces and updates all the functionality of the formerly integrated groups. If installed prior to the FF45 update it retains all your tab group settings.

So what you're saying is that because I didn't install that before FF45 I've lost all those group tabs. I can get the functionality with that add-in, but the information has been lost.
Well, GEEE WOW!! apparently not all is lost. I installed this and somehow the tab groups reappeared. I don't know where from.
