Hi synaptics is no longer available in 42.1. How do we turn off the touchpad to prevent accidentally touching it whilst typing?
Are you saying the following files for 13.1 are not available on 42.1
gsynaptics-0.9.16-23.1.3.x86_64 gsynaptics-lang-0.9.16-23.1.3.noarch xf86-input-synaptics-1.7.1-2.1.2.x86_64
That doesn't make sense to me. These are the packages that allow the 1-2 sec disable while typing deactivation of the touchpad. Without those, everybody with a touchpad would be screwed. Have you checked for those package names? (or maybe a renaming -- for god knows what reason)
Actually, no. They don't work. There is no setting to turn off the keyboard whilst typing. In kde4 there is the option of synapticks but LXDE in 42.1 it is not possible to install. Any ideas?
man syndaemon add syndaemon -i 2 somewhere in session startup files. That's what those control panel applets did anyway. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
