Hi synaptics is no longer available in 42.1. How do we turn off the touchpad to prevent accidentally touching it whilst typing?
Are you saying the following files for 13.1 are not available on 42.1
gsynaptics-0.9.16-23.1.3.x86_64 gsynaptics-lang-0.9.16-23.1.3.noarch xf86-input-synaptics-1.7.1-2.1.2.x86_64
That doesn't make sense to me. These are the packages that allow the 1-2 sec disable while typing deactivation of the touchpad. Without those, everybody with a touchpad would be screwed. Have you checked for those package names? (or maybe a renaming -- for god knows what reason)
Yep. Thanks. You put us on the right track. We used synaptics before, now it's not available without losing the whole of plasma 5. The alternatives you give are great. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
