I have noticed on the lists mention of kernels at least as high as 4.2.0. I have been performing upgrades and my kernel is at 3.16.7-29. I have an odd graphics processor on a Nvidia laptop and it was suggested back in April on the Nouveau-Nvidia list that I should try version 4 of the kernel. I have been waiting but it has not arrived. Is there a reason open-SUSE is still using version 3 series kernels, or reason I should not upgrade? And is there document describing the procedure to obtain a newer kernel.
Apparently you are using openSUSE 13.2 or lower. Both openSUSE Tumbleweed and openSUSE Leap 42.1 use the 4.x kernel. -- fr.gr. member openSUSE Freek de Kruijf -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
