I checked dovecot in systemctl and its status seemed okay. In frustration I reinstalled 13.1 but I really want to upgrade so here I am in the process of installing 13.2 again. If it still doesn't appear, I will query further but I hope that I've given you a better picture of what I am puzzled about.
So systemctl status dovecot.service gave you an active imap-server. This does not mean that it is working as it should. Did you use the command "ss -tnlp" to check that the imap server is listening on port 143 and 993? Are you using the imap server from a remote client? If so, did you open the ports in the firewall? Did you use the checks on http://wiki2.dovecot.org/TestInstallation to really check it is working as expected. You have to do these checks from the system on which you have your client. When you configure your imap server in KMail did you use autodetect in the Advanced tab, when you Edit the configuration and when that's OK press Server Information? -- fr.gr. member openSUSE Freek de Kruijf -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
