Actually I need the openoffice only due to my some programming need. It seems now I'm in trouble. I don't have enough RAM so that I can install Windows and VM to work from SUSE. :(

I haven't looked lately but there are probably java packages that you can dl from apache/openoffice and install by hand. No need for windoz.
