I'm trying to access a _really_ old Compaq Remote Insight Board - with Firefox, I get "ssl_error_no_cypher_overlap", but with Konqueror I get through. I need Firefox though as Konqueror doesn't quite cope with some Javascript on the first/login page. I guess Konqueror has support for some elderly cipher protocols, is there any way of finding out which and getting those to work in Firefox too?
No, Konqueror has nothing to do with this.. it is the underlying SSL library.. firefox uses NSS while konqueror uses openSSL, the latter in released openSUSE versions still offers obsolete/dangerous ciphersuites in the client hello.. (in factory it no longer does).
Thanks for that explanation. The problem with Konqueror appears not to be javascript, but java - I might be able to make some progress with this though. -- Per Jessen, Zürich (14.3°C) http://www.dns24.ch/ - your free DNS host, made in Switzerland. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
