Stefan Gofferje
Hi,
I just coincidentally stumbled over this... It seems that my KDE uses ISO-8859-1 encoding while the console uses UTF-8 encoding. That makes for a bit of a mess when you edit scripts or other texts which are to be used by the system with kwrite.
What is output of "locale" in console and KDE?
How can I set the encoding in KDE?
