Maybe I would be better off just installing what is needed from OBS? If so, which packages would those be?
I have 13.1 running VBox in a windoz 8.1 laptop. I believe you need to install 13.1 matching kernel-devel to your 13.1 kernel-desktop, and maybe kernel-desktop-devel
The matching -devel package is installed.
This post coming from my 13.1 VBox
If you installed 13.1 in vbox, the install figures this out and adds the required guest additions automatically. My 13.1 is from a KIWI OEM image where this has not been done. So I have two options: 1) install the additions from the VB ISO image (which is what I am reporting not to be working for me) or 2) install the vbox packages for 13.1, I just don't know which they are...
Knowing that VirtualBox snapshots might undo any damage, I played with the packages to add. To get virtual box additions into 13.1 that did not have them from the install, add: virtualbox-guest-kmp-desktop (or which ever kernel is in your guest) virtualbox-guest-x11 virtualbox-guest-tools Reboot the guest. I realize the list looks obvious. But there are some other guest names packages that need not be installed. -- Yours sincerely, Roger Oberholtzer Ramböll RST / Systems Office: Int +46 10-615 60 20 Mobile: Int +46 70-815 1696 roger.oberholtzer@ramboll.se ________________________________________ Ramböll Sverige AB Krukmakargatan 21 P.O.
