I installed 13.1 with an iso DVD on my Acer e-machine. The next time I started up and at the moment when the KDE icon appeared and was still unsharp all blocked, leaving only diagonal lines at the screen. This also occurred when I started the second time with a KDE-live disk. Suggestions how to solve this will be very appreciated! Andr den Oudsten A little more specifics please. What kind of video card, what model, etc.
It could be be that live CD had drivers for your card but these have to be specially installed once you convert to a real install (for license reasons).
I work with an Acer emachine EL1352 processor AMD Athlon II 160u 800MHz nVidia GeForce 6100 nForce 430 2D driver nouveau 3D driver nouveau Gallium (8.04) openSUSE 12.2 (x86_64) KDE 4.8.5 (4.8.5) "release 2" That's the situation from wich I tried to install 13.1 In both cases, the install and the use of the live disk ended in totally blocked desk top André den Oudsten Today I did, after a few weeks, another trial to install with the ISOdisc.
