On OpenSUSE 12.3, when I start QGIS 1.8 or 2.0 (both from OBS), I get this message: Couldn't load PyQGIS. Python support will be disabled. Traceback (most recent call last): File "", line 1, in File "/usr/share/qgis/python/qgis/__init__.py", line 63, in from qgis import core RuntimeError: the sip module implements API v10.0 to v10.1 but the qgis.core module requires API v9.2 In fact, I have been seeing this message for a very long time. When I look at the QGIS docs for SIP, all it says is that it uses SIP API V2 (http://hub.qgis.org/wiki/17/Python_plugin_API_changes_from_18_to_20#Testing-...). The installed python-sip is python-sip-4.15.2-116.1.i586. Hmmm. Three sets of version numberings... Is anyone using Python scripting in QGIS from OBS? -- Yours sincerely, Roger Oberholtzer Ramböll RST / Systems Office: Int +46 10-615 60 20 Mobile: Int +46 70-815 1696 roger.oberholtzer@ramboll.se ________________________________________ Ramböll Sverige AB Krukmakargatan 21 P.O.
