After some extend online argument, they advised me that my service would be extend from *livetime* to 2038.
I really have no personal experience with no-ip (I am a long time DynDNS user), so are they lying on this page:

Reading back thru a old email looking for a free dynamic IP service.
no-ip currently says that you have to activate their account every 30 days or it will be deleted.
I may try it, but I'd like to find a better way. This is for a hobby project, so I don't want to spend any money on it.
If anyone has a recommendation, I'll take it.

I use dyndns.org free service, and ddclient on Linux. I've been there for almost 10 years now. About 4 years ago I was using it for so many things I decided to play fair and sent some money their way. Their offering used to be simple, but they have grown up and now offer a bewildering array of services and its not clear that any of them are free. -- _____________________________________ ---This space for rent--- -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
