Has anyone else noticed that Firefox stops working after it's been running for a while. When it fails, I can no longer go to or reload a web page. Wireshark shows there's no attempt to contact the site. Firefox has had performance issues for a while now, but it's getting worse.
What version are you talking abut? What plugins are you running?
"Context is Everything"
Running version 20.0.
Add-ins FireSSH 0.93.4 Garmin Communicator 4.0.4 HTTPS-Everywhere 3.2 openSUSE Firefox Extensions 1.0.2 ShowIP 2.0
32 or 64? Is this with IPv6?
Incidentally, there is also some discussion of this issue on a general Linux mail list, not just openSUSE. I'm not sure when the problem started, but it's definitely getting worse. Seamonkey also has an issue where it bogs down after a while, but nothing compared to this.
Is it just the FF that freezes? Can you swithc tabs? Does it freeze the whole of the GUI? The whole of the machine? Can you just kill/restart FF or do yo have to restart the whole session? Reboot the machine? I ask because I have an ABSOLUTE freeze-up that I notice but then I'm in FF a lot. Of course it may be a BtrFS problem for me. -- -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
