Hi, I did a fresh install of OpenSuse 12.1
Why did you install an old version ? try 12.3 RC1 !
I installed the old version because I wanted all my server with the same version.
I downloaded the file openSUSE-12.3-DVD-Build0024-x86_64.iso and installed it.
If you can reproduce with a recent version, please fill a bug report.
It looks like the thing got worse with the new version. None of the network cards get configured. I took a look at the Yast configuration and the interfaces are configured there, also the method of start is the traditional ifup. When I tried do start running manually "/etc/int.d/network restart" the command got redirected to the systemctl command and the interfaces were kept not configured. https://www.box.com/s/4dzaqqqc74ybnsl2o8it Another weird thing I noticed while dealing with Yast was the default run level is not showed on the Yast advanced service configuration window https://www.box.com/s/1bxasu6tqjzce59no699 I took a look at the /etc/inittab file (that usually have lots of lines) and for my surprise the content of the files was just: id:5:initdefault: Did I download the wrong ISO? A'm I missing something? I'll try to reinstall the system with the default options, not touching anything on the software options, and see what happens.
