Far more reasonable: Bug 800607 Submitted system scripts should be scan'ed for bashims, and have 1st line update to bash if used

2013-01-25 20:17:57 UTC --- That already exists as part of rpmlint which runs checkbashisms and dash -n on every script. Automatically changing the shebang is out of question since both are in no way reliable. =================== CLOSED/INVALID.... and you wonder why I think filing bug reports is a waste of time.
You were given a perfectly valid answer, the checks you requested are already being performed. I think the real problem is that you opened a bug for something you thought was a bug, but really isn't. Werner already pointed out that what you thought wasn't in POSIX is really in there If you find a script that fails when run with sh, which requires bash, that is a bug. "I think this requires bash" is not. especially since you apparently don't know what requires bash and what doesn't.
