Hi Carlos, I found it was just easier to completely delete all the tracker in Yast. Enter "tracker" (w/o the quotes) in the search box and select "delete all" and accept. It usually comes up with some problems and I just select the first item in each problem. This has worked since at least OS 12.1 and hopefully will work on future releases until they either get rid of it or get it fixed.
OK, your idea is better. But since my goal is to automatize the process to include it in the installation script for my university lab (http://www.mece.ualberta.ca/~clange/Linux/openSUSE/12.2/instructions/openSUS...) , I found all the dependencies to avoid the need for interaction. Here is what I will use: zypper rm tracker tracker-miner-thunderbird tracker-miner-firefox tracker-miner-files tracker-gui nautilus-extension-tracker-tags grilo-plugin-tracker libtracker-extract libtracker-miner Thanks Tom! -- Carlos F Lange -- Recursive: Adj.
