Recently, someone forgot the root password for their system and I guided them through using the kernel options in grub ver. 1 I then began to wonder how do you do the same thing in Grub v2. How does one specify kernel options in Grub v2.? How does one recover if they have forgotten their root password and the system is using Grub v2?
Just curious. I would like to know before I need to know.
