Carlos,
man systemd shows there is a Conflicts= statement.
I haven't finished reading systemd documentation.
I have a VM that boots to the equivalent of init 3. I normally just type startx if I want have X.
If you want to test this with me, start a new thread for gpm and systemd. I'll join in if I can. Note, I've no knowledge of gpm nor systemd beyond what I've read on these lists. So we might have to do some experimenting.
Sounds like fun!
To me, it suffices that using chkconfig in the documented manner works. For instance: chkconfig apache 35 would enable apache only on those levels - and it is an example in the manual page (oS 12.1) - -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R.
