Huh, that's not an example of good documentation :-) It is very terse. I just need to print strings to know by which sections the code passes and where it gets stuck: printk(KERN_INFO "I was here - 1.0\n"); I see an interesting 'ifdef' in hibernate.c CONFIG_PM_DEBUG.
