Guys,
I need a bit of help. I've tried to follow the example after wchar_t * wcscat that explains why using mempcpy is better than using strcat or wcscat, but I run
NEVER use strcat() or wcscat()
Yes, however in very recent GCC versions, it will try to axe them out if possible replacing it for safer/faster alternatives, this does not cover all possible cases (nor I am aware that effort to handle all cases was done) this is as long you are not using strict standards swtiches (like -ansi) and _GNU_SOURCE is defined...
Instead, always, Always, ALWAYS use strncat() or wcsncat()
And screw it up anyway ;-D these libc APIs are screwed up beyond repair and you should not use them either. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
