I noticed same issue yesterday, exactly during my KDE4.8 installation so
I switched to one of the available opensuse mirrors:

http://ftp5.gwdg.de/pub/opensuse/repositories/KDE:/Release:/48/openSUSE_12.1/

And installation went completed :o)
