samba, samba-client, libwclient0, libsmbclient0
and printing is working again.

Possibly. You can revert to the previous samba version, and if the issue is
not there, without changing any config file, certainly report.
OK.
I reverted all packages:
samba, samba-client, libwclient0, libsmbclient0
and printing is working again.
