These are typical if you have seagate disks.
Ignore those temperature parameters (but keep an eye on temps with hddtemp and e.g. gkrellm): Make this your first line in /etc/smartd.conf or add the -I parameters to your own entries: DEVICESCAN -a -d removable -I 194 -I 190 -I 231 -I 9 -I 240 -I 241 -I 242 -T permissive The last 3 are Seagate specific, AFAIK (real Seagates, probably not yet the relabeled Samsungs like this one sold as Seagate Barracuda Green).
