Is there any ramifications with sharing /home with 2 different versions (11.4 and 12.1) ?
Don't do it. Sharing data files is usually OK, but config files are not. Even data files can be problematic if, say, you open a file with an older version of the program that created it.
Also, can I sharing the Thunderbird files ?
I would not. Perhaps you can symlink the mbox files. - -- Cheers, Carlos E. R.
