The point was that the root password is required to configure a WiFi connection, not that it can't be used at multiple locations. When you configure a new WiFi connection, can you do it without the root password?
Your wording doesn't fit to the general and generic rules of human cooperation.
The appropriate wording for this is not suitable for use in polite company.
There is simply no excuse for this sort of thing. You're right. For a wording like yours there is close to no excuse.
I was simply trying to express the frustration that many experience with this incredibly short sighted policy. You may not like the way I express my frustration with this, but I cannot do it in a more polite way. In fact, my comments have already been heavily moderated! This "feature" essentially renders 12.1 unsuitable for use in a corporate environment, because it defeats the primary purpose of a notebook computer, without providing adequate documentation about how to enable that which should be default. Can't someone in the openSUSE team understand how wrong this situation is and fix it??? -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
