Hi Problem: The xscreensaver that comes with 12.1 doesn't support Kerberos 5
Possible solution: gnome-screensaver which comes with Ubuntu does unlock with your Kerberos credetials. Try that with 12.1?
What I've done: Install gnome-screensaver using yast
cd /usr/bin mv xscreensaver xscreensaver.bak ln -s gnome-screensaver xscreensaver
No surprize, now the screensaver dialogue in XFCE Settings Manager doesn't work.
Starting gnome-screensaver gives: ** (gnome-screensaver:5232): WARNING **: Couldn't get presence status: The name org.gnome.SessionManager was not provided by any .service files
Questions 1. Is it possible configure gnome-screensaver under XFCE (without installing most of Gnome)? 2. Any other ideas?
Thanks, L x
Hi can't really answer your question, but a search on google for "installing gnome-screensaver" brought this link: http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/blfs/view/cvs/gnome/gnome-screensaver.html Maybe it helps Karl -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
