Is there a know way to install a live CD image onto an usb stick with:
a) not using the whole stick (16GB), but just one partition (e.g. sdb1) for the
image
b) having additional data partition(s) on there as well
I'm not interested in having a 'persistent' live system on the stick, I just
don't want to sacrifice 16GB for a 1GB image.
I played a bit with syslinux and qemu for testing and got it to boot with that.
Only it doesn't boot on a real PC.
