Hi All
I have a strange problem and I'm hoping that someone else has
experienced this or knows what's going on and how to resolve it.

At the kdm login the mouse is immobile or invisible and the keyboard
seems unresponsive. However, if I type in my password and then change to
a console screen and then back, the password is entered. The login
progresses a bit and then seems to pause.  By switching to a console
screen and then back again the login continues to completion. That is
what happens.  I make key presses and or mouse movements when I switch
to a console screen and then back the key press or mouse movement is
executed.  If I switch to a console, the keyboard works fine.

It started happening with opensuse 11.4 so I decided to upgrade to 12.1
thinking that it would resolve itself but it still continues.  In fact,
I could only complete the installation by switching to and from console
screens.  I did the installation as a new install and not an upgrade.

Any thoughts, anyone? Would be grateful for any help.
