Does anybody know if this is a print driver (gutenprint/foomatic) issue
or is this a mozilla issue?
1.
Stop printing for your print queue ("cupsdisable ")
2.
Print one job from your application to your print queue.
3.
The printing output from your application appears as new CUPS spool
data file /var/spool/cups/d<job-number>-<file-number>
4.
Copy the /var/spool/cups/d<job-number>-<file-number>
to /tmp/application.printout
5.
Clean the print queue ("cancel -a ")
6.
Re-enabel printing ("cupsenable ")
7.
View /tmp/application.printout with an appropriate viewer.
Use "file /tmp/application.printout" to get the file type.
It should be PostScript but could be also PDF.
To view PostScript run "gs -r50 file.ps".
If the printing output from your application is already "wrong"
the issue belongs to the application.
If the printing output from your application looks o.k.
the issue belongs to one of the various filtering stages
in the printing system to convert the printing output from
the application into printer-specific data.
