It's a text only program so probably best to run from a terminal if you need to see the output.
I also typed 'kdirstat' in Alt+F2 but there is no result however, in Yast, it is there. While 'filelight' is really nice, in fact I had installed 'kdirstat' just to see with some difference, that's all.
rpm -ql kdirstat | grep bin Gives us /opt/kde3/bin/kdirstat which is likely not in your path due to kde3 being so out of date.
