the firtewall. SuSEfirewall stop (SuSEfirewall after setting printers)
allows you to discover printers, but make your computer at risk.
or simply give the printer IP if you know it.
second, there is a nasty bug in yast or cups that makes the ppd file
unvisible when first launching. Load yast, add printer, scan device
files (don't know the english words, it's the button at the far

I know the problem with the firewall, then the firewall was switched off
at the time for installing.
The Jetdirect has it's ip, and the Jetdirect has been found.
Also the driver for the wanted printer can be found.
BUT the printer on the port 9100 2 cannot be found!
What say now ?

I haven't used a JetDirect in a long time but, wouldn't the second printer be on port 9101?
Your memory is MUCH better than mine :-)
You are quite right and the second printer works like a charm now.
