Which just goes to show that there's bound to be someone who has one when
it's needed. If it's needed.

I would guess that if one were to acquire a device that needed a serial
cable, one would still not be difficult to find.

Just because serial cables have been easy to find in the past is no
guarantee that they will continue to be after new PCs haven't had serial
ports in over 10 years.

At which point, arguably, a serial printer/plotter is also not going to
be a lot of use. :)
