KMail's smart 'Reply' action replies to list if list headers are

Klugscheisserei* but in my experience it always does what I want it to
do except for those who set Reply- To. There are explicit reply
actions to reply to the list or to the author if needed as well.

The tb I was using was an old tar.gz which I extracted to my home folder
as I didn't have root access on the box I was using at a colleagues
desk. I normally use kmail so I took the 'reply list' for granted. It
was only when I downloaded the new tb I saw the reply list. The problem
with kmail is that it seems to need most of kde installed. I was looking
to see if the competition was any more economical.
Thanks for all your help and comments.

KMail needs the kde libraries and runtimes installed, that's true. There have
been builds of KMail (for Windows, Mac and mobile) that were tuned for a small
footprint, but ours are not. KDE 4's design of shared services brings
economies of scale when you use many KDE apps together, whereas the initial
focus of KDE 5 is modularising the features we have so you can also pick and
mix without bringing in the kitchen sink.
