Guys, Just wanted to check if anyone knew of suse and/or linux based project related to the iPhone? In the past two weeks there have been a number of articles noting Mac OS passed linux as a development platform (still well behind m$). I have always been amazed who linux is generally in the forefront with any new hardware providing functionality and development tools, but they are virtually non-existent with the iPhone. Surely it isn't so much of a technical limitation given the headway others have made jailbreaking the iphone. Is it just the threat of apples' muscle that has development blocked or is there really something that Mac OS does that linux can't that makes is suited for mobile development? What say those in the know? I'm really curious what is suppressing IOS/mobile development using linux as the development platform? -- David C.
