At the starting point you also find instructions how to use it.
After the recent comments in this thread I'm quite sure this will not be
solved/ addressed in a generic _and_ simple way as suggested and
requested. I'm sure we'll see a weeks if not months ongoing and to
nothing leading discussion while user Joe Doe will not be able to use a
par port printer with the next openSUSE release. But hey, that's all at
the end an advantage to our environment. ;)

If there is still a need to get this "par port printing doesn't work"
addressed from inside YaST one has to file a request in openFATE.
And the ID in openFATE is? Please quote it as part of this thread as
reference too.
If none cares we'll see the same issue with openSUSE 12.1 again. I'm
quite sure I'll not get bitten by this missing feature again as the
usecase why I cared vanished recently.
Par port printer users please have an eye on this! If the YaST printer
setup wizard checks already for a parallel printing device this feature
should be very, very basic and easy to add. Should™. :)
Sorry, but I am confused.
As I am not familiar with these things (openFATE; I've never heard about
it before), I don't know what I am supposed to do now.
Could you explain it please or give a link where it is explained?
